rodeo

grandpa o. wanted to take ryan to the gunlock rodeo
so we all tagged along.
we thought that the weather would be unbearably hot.
but it wasn't and we all had an enjoyable time.
except ryder who wants to cruise around and not sit still.

waving like squints from the sand lot.
(every night when i put ryan in bed i wave to him like squints and he waves back)


at the rodeo they have all the kids come down to catch chickens.
here they are lining up.
at this point ryan is very excited but a little nervous.

they let the chickens go...
and all the kids start running

except ryan...

grandpa walked around with him.

he did have a great time kicking up dirt with his boots on.

needless to say he didn't even come close to catching a chicken.

this is the back end of a horse.

if we had horses we would brand them like this too!

i even wore cowboy boots... too bad you can only see the very top of them.
