Yard Work

We bought some flowers to plant and changed up the front yard just a little bit.

We also got a pot with flowers, I think it adds a ton to the house.

While we were out working Ryder started eating handfuls of dirt.

You could hear the rocks crunching in his teeth.

I tried to help him get some water and spit it out, but he probably ate most of it.

Stud Muffin

Ryan has the very best Sunbeam teachers.

They brought him muffins on his birthday with an adorable card.

They are so sweet!

Morning Time

The boys are still so happy to see each other in the morning.

It's like they haven't seen each other in days.

Ryder usually hugs Ryan before he comes to see me.

Ryan's Birthday Party

We had a little birthday party for Ryan.

His best friend Kenny and my cousins came

 (he loves playing Nelson & Lil-E so much).

We had cupcakes and presents at our house and then we went to the zoo.

The decorations...

 My mom made the boys matching quilts and Heather gave Ryan the dinosaur shirt with his name on it.

 I made a dinosaur cake (which kind of looks like a dog).

At least Ryan was happy with it.

 Nelson gave Ryan a puzzle, he loves puzzles!

On Sunday after church we hadn't even cut into his cake because we had cupcakes too.  He loves blowing out candles so we lit them and sang to him again.

Surprise

My mom and sisters came to visit.

I hadn't told my mom we were expecting yet so I wrapped up this little box and left it on the guest bed so she would see it when she got here.

I should have had the camera out when she opened it,

but I forgot.

She was very surprised though.

And super excited!

Counting Down

We have been counting down the days until we go to Disney Land.

Ryan got a little too excited today because he tore the whole thing to shreds, and then danced on them.

Phoenix Children's Museum

We went to the Museum with Tristan and his mom Lauren.

The boys had a blast, we could have spent ALL day there!

I think they had the most fun in the kid sized grocery store,

but they had so much fun even in the halls.

Sand

It's never a great idea to throw sand at the park, 

because someone will throw sand back at you.

If Ryan has to spit he runs to the front door opens and spits.

Not sure why he thinks he needs to do this...

but he does.

He spit outside and came running to me SO excited and told me that I had to come and see.

He told me his spit looked like a Mickey Mouse Head.

Which it actually does.

He is counting down the days until we go to Disney Land next month.

(sorry the spit looks so disgusting!)

Talk

Ryan gave his first talk in church.

He told the story about Ammon, he had been practicing all week and probably didn't need help.

He had a picture of Ammon and a few puppets to help him out.

He was very brave and did a fantastic job.

He even threw in a few sound effects :).

I was very proud of him.

(Dad, Alli and Ryder came to watch.)

The Urban Lake/Pond

I took the boys out to the Library, behind the library there is an Urban Lake.  The boys love to see the ducks and turtles there. 

The boys had a hard time looking at the camera.

They were busy looking around for animals.

He might look a little bit like a truck driver :)

"Q"

Ryan was the king again at preschool. 

The letter of the week was "Qq"

which was hard because there isn't a lot of food items that start with Qq and we had to be creative.

We made quaffles... 

(cake mix made in the waffle iron, and frosted with frosting)

I thought they were kind of gross but, oh well.

We also make quesadillas with queso.
