Sneak Peak

{November 23, 2011}
We were planning on staying home for Thanksgiving, but decided to go home instead.
I had Livi's newborn pictures scheduled for December 23, I was thrilled when Kellie had an opening the day before Thanksgiving.
I really had the time of my life having her pictures taken.
We were there for about 2 hours and then Tyler brought the boys down and we did some pictures of all three kids and then some family shots too.
I can't wait to see the rest of them!

No Nap?

{November 22, 2011}
I tried to keep Ryder up so he could sleep on our drive to Utah.
He had a different plan...
and he told me he was going to take a nap on the couch!

She looks like??

{November 20, 2011}
She doesn't look exactly like one person, but she does look the most like Ryan and me.
{Ryan 17 days old}
{Olivia 13 days old}
Sam made this adorable pink blanket.
I'll have to get some better pictures of it.
It is beautiful and so cozy!

2 weeks

{November 21, 2011}
Look at all that hair on the back of her head.
I'm hoping so bad that it doesn't all fall out!
One night this week she only woke up once, thank heavens.
She is such a great baby!!
I love love love having a newborn around!

{November 12-20, 2011}
My mom and Cass came to take care of us.
They were such a huge help.
Heather and my Dad flew in on the 18th
(which was also Heather's birthday...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEATHER)
We woke up early Saturday morning for Ryan's t-ball game.
Heather brought Ryder powered doughnuts again.  He loved them!
Loved having you all here!
Please come again soon!

 First t-ball game and she slept through the whole thing!

Day 2

Hermey was on the tv when we woke up this morning.
Yesterday Ryan was telling me all day that the Elf was probably going to be on the tv.
I guess Hermey was listening!

Day 1

Our cute little elf named Hermey came to our house Thursday morning.
The boys were so excited to see him.
All day long I had to remind the boys that Hermey was watching them and he would tell Santa if they were being naughty or nice.
It worked like a charm!

Friends

{November 18, 2011}
We went to a wedding reception with Scott and Nat.
(a kid from school got married)
My mom kept the kids and Taycee for us.
When Taycee realized that her parents were gone she kind of freaked out!
My mom said the boys were so sweet to take care of her and give her "huggies".
Ryan even got a tissue and wiped the snot off her face.
True friendship!

Great Grandparents

{November 16, 2011}
My grandparents came over to meet Olivia.
Harvey & Varo Hutchinson
Today was there 54th wedding anniversary.
They are two of the greatest people I know!
Love them.

We tried Liv's blessing dress on her.
(She even gave us a little smirk.)
My grandma made this dress back in the summer.
The sleeves were a little big so we sent the dress with her so she could take it in.
I am so excited for her to wear it.
I think it turned out so beautiful!

Photographers

{November 16, 2011}
We take a lot of pictures of Liv, so the boys think they are supposed to do it too.
They are constantly grabbing my camera to take pictures of her.
I try to turn off the flash so she isn't blinded!

Dad

My boys are so lucky to have such a great Dad.
He is by far their favorite person.
This is one of the many reasons why!

One Week

{November 14, 2011}
We were lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa O.
with us the first week.
They were so much help and the boys were in heaven.

  • Her cord fell off on day seven.
  • She smiles in her sleep all of the time.
  • She only cries if she has a burp or is cold getting out of the tub.
  • She is her mothers daughter and usually sneezes three times in a row.
  • One time she sneezed 6 times, I couldn't believe it!

Huggies (as Ryder would call them)

Olivia is such a good sport with these kiddos hugging on her every second they can.
I'm sure glad they like her though!

Love

{11/11/11}
Was my official due date.
I am so glad that we didn't try to have her on this day.
Sorry about not having the coolest birthday, but I was glad to be out of the hospital when they got crazy busy!

Ryder loves his baby!

Also Liv had a doctors appointment today.
They wanted to check her jaundice levels.
She looked perfect.
Weight 6 lbs 14 oz 25%
Height 19.75 inches 50%
Head 35 cm 50%

First Bath

Even though we couldn't get her belly wet, she had to have a bath!
She'll like it more when we can put more water in the sink.
The boys are so helpful!  :)
They want to help and watch with every bath.

Home!

There is nothing quite like bringing a new baby home.
After months of preparation and anticipation,
the time is finally here.
And the boys were SO excited!!
(so was I)
She weighed 6 lbs 9 oz when we brought her home.

Welcome to the World

(This picture was taken the night before.)

We had a scheduled induction for Monday November 7th. We had to be at the hospital at 3:00 a.m. Tyler's parents were here to help us with the boys, it was so nice to not worry about them!
Tyler and I woke up at 2:45 and headed over to the hospital. We got registered and by 4:00 they started me on pitocin. Tyler was able to sleep a little bit on the couch.  I wasn't in a ton of pain but uncomfortable enough that I couldn't sleep. By 8:00 I asked for the epidural.  I should've asked for it sooner!  Tyler had to go to school for a little bit.  Stacey and Tyler's aunt Chrissy came down to hang out with me.   The doctor came and broke my water.  I think I was dialated to a six.  Tyler came back around 10:30 and then left to grab something to eat. As soon as he walked out the door the nurse came and checked me again and I was at a nine.  So we called Tyler and told him hurry back.  He made it back and the nurse said I was ready so she called the doctor.  The doctor said she would be ten minutes... 45 minutes later she came.
 I pushed two times and Olivia was born!
We ended up staying in the hospital for two days, so they could watch her bilirubin levels.  When the levels had come down into low range we were able to come home.
We are so blessed that she is part of our family.
Love you little one!

Tyler's mom, dad, Aunt Chrissy and Cousin Marlee were all there for the delivery.  My family was on the phone.
(They couldn't come because Sam was leaving for his mission the next day.)
The boys could not wait to come see their baby!
Ryder saw the baby and then came to me and said "baby in your tummy?"  I told him no and he went running back over to Olivia.
I guess he kind of understood, maybe?

The boys had to check out her hands, feet, and hair.
  Ryan was excited that she has hair like him.

First picture of all {3} kids.
Not the best picture, but it must be documented!

We had so many visitors @ the hospital.  I wish I would have taken pictures of everyone!
Scott, Nat and Taycee Holm
(Taycee was so interested in Olivia, way more than my boys.
She will be a great big sister)!

Time to go home!!
