last sunday was a perfect day!

we first went to the gila valley temple dedication. it was very unlike the nauvoo temple, this one was very laid back. everyone that spoke paid tribute to president kimball.  i thought it was great to remember such a great man. (he is from the gila valley area).  president monson, elder eyring, and elder holland were there.  they let a bunch of kids fill in the mortar on the cornerstone.  i am sure that those lucky kids will remember that for the rest of their lives.  and sweet president monson... he sure is a story teller, he even told one story two times.  it's hard to see people get older and they can't quite remember as good as they used to.  he still did a great job though. the spirit was there and i loved every minute!
i did want to remember one thing that president monson said
"i have a certain knowledge that Jesus is the Christ"
i think that is very special!

it was nice to not have to wrangle the boys through church.
are the months 12-18 as long for anyone else as they are for me?
taking ryder to nursery couldn't come sooner!

the boys played so well together today...
ryder is learning how to hammer.  thanks to ryan for showing him how!

does it look like someone needs a hair cut?
ryders hair is SO straight, i don't think i can keep it long like ryans.

after we got ryder in bed for the night ryan and i went outside.  can you believe that it was actually cold here?  we had three blankets with us.
we played with the our blankets like they were tents,
and we even ate brownies together.
ryan thought that was awesome.
and it was.
i love spending time with him.
he is such a great kid!
and i am sure he'll figure out how to stop throwing tantrums soon.
or he will end up with a lot of vinegar in his mouth.
so far the only thing that helps is a little vinegar.
he sure does hate it!
(i told my grandma about it, she has nine kids herself and she just laughed and said
i guess he won't like pickles.  but actually he already loves pickles.)
funny kid.

the perfect day ended with the red sox winning, so even dad was happy!
the end.
