june 13- july 1

tyler went to up to pine valley (thank you smiths) for some peace and quite to study for the national boards.
he takes the test soon.
i am sure he will do great!
he is after all really smart.

the first week went by pretty fast.
i was all by myself with the boys and the little girl that we have been babysitting full time this summer.
my hands were full but we survived.
we even made it to enrichment, and took delicious homemade chocolate syrup.
thanks stacey for the recipe.
it really was the hit of the night!
some girls are still talking about it.

my mom and cass came the second week.
they also brought my aunt sharon and cousin samantha.
(sorry, no pictures)
the first day they here we headed to yogurt land and met up with my other aunts and cousins.
we didn't get pictures of everyone...again.
only the boys :)

sharon and samantha could only stay a couple days.
it was great to see them!
we hope they come again.

grandma h. brought a toy story slip and slide.
ryan calls it sledding. ha.
we spent lots of time while they were here slip and sliding.
and we went to the pool almost every single day.

i have been meaning to make the boys ties since thanksgiving.
we'll i finally got around to it for the 4th of july.
my mom and i got a little carried away...
i think we ended up making ten ties.
i'll have to get pictures of them later.
mom also hemmed my curtains...
they have been waiting to be hemmed for 5 years:)
can't wait for next summers sewing week!

ryder was asleep when grandma left...
so we only have ryan in the pic.

cass stayed with me a couple extra days to help with the kids and to drive to utah with me.
she was a HUGE help.
ryan loves his aunt cass.
i love it when they get along :)
ryan laying on cass watching movies.

cass brought water balloons, and a whoopie cushion for ryan to play with.
ryan thought that the whoopie cushion was SO funny!

cass also shared her googles with ryder.
he actually loved having them on.

cass was also kind enough to draw and play hopscotch with ryan,
even though it was super hot outside.

thanks mom and cass.
you sure made the second week a lot more fun!

Ha! We loved the whoopie cushion, too! Cass brought it when she came over with us and I'll have to email you our little experience with that! I actually need to email you about something separate so maybe check when you can. I'll email you later today. Love the posts! Watching Ramona this Friday? It's looking pretty cute! Unsure if Ryan likes "girl" movies. (smile)
