Ryan's Birthday

{4}
Last night we had a little BBQ with some friends from school.
Some how I only ended up with pictures of Ryan.
He loves birthdays and blowing out candles...
if you couldn't tell.

We started Ryan's birthday off with him crawling into bed with us at 3:30 in the morning.  I should have fought him but instead I went and slept in his bed.  Tyler woke me up when Ryan was awake.
While the boys got ready for the day I wrapped a present for Ryan to open before Tyler went to school.
Ryan also opened a present from Grandpa and Grandma O...
CLEATS!
He was SO excited and insisted on wearing them for the day.
He tells us that his cleats make him run faster!
Ty and I gave him a new shirt to wear today which he wasn't too excited about, but hey he looked cute!
Then it wasn't even 8:00 and he was dressed and ready to go
(which never happens)
and he asked us
"where am I going?".
Well, sorry bud you are staying home with mom for 4 more hours before school starts.
I think that was a let down.
And to make matters worse, the only thing he wanted for breakfast was the one thing I didn't have.
POPTARTS.
So we headed down to the grocery store for poptarts and skittles.
We also spent one whole dollar on three little bouncy balls.
We made cupcakes for him to take to school
and we also went to McDonalds for lunch.
I made Ryan wait for Tyler to come home so he could open the rest of his presents.
We had him close his eyes so we could give him the bat that Grandpa O. sent for his birthday.
He was so excited, so we headed to the park to play some t-ball.
The boys had a blast playing with dad!
Ryder thinks he is just as big as Ryan.
1 going on 4.

Alli came over and brought Ryan the biggest balloons you have ever seen.
Ryan loved these too!
Ryan requested Pizza Planet so
we went to Peter Piper Pizza for dinner.
The boys were way too busy to even look at the camera.

After a very eventful day, Ryan was exhausted!
We put him in bed and I couldn't resist taking one more picture of my little boy.
He is not a toddler anymore he is a big kid.
And it makes me cry just thinking about it!
Love you RY!

{December 23, 2010}
I am not sure how this happened.
He does think he is the funniest human ever.
He is always laughing at himself.

Cousins

{December 19, 2010}
Before Brody was even born Grandpa and Grandma O.
bought the boys matching cousin shirts.
Brooke thought Brody's shirts was going to be big,
but it ended up fitting perfectly.
 (because he is so chubby, and everyone wants to kiss his cheeks all day)
We did have a hard time getting all three boys to look at the camera.

On the way to be Dr. Owens

{December 16, 2010}

Tylers uncle Dr. Stu Frost is doing Cass's braces.
She needed {4} baby teeth pulled.
Stu was kind enough to have Tyler come pull them out.
These were the first teeth that he has ever pulled.
Cass was very brave, she only cried for a few minutes when she came home.  I hope that took good care of her, I made sure that she had her very own ice cream.
Good job Tyler and good job Cass.

Teacher Gift

{December 16, 2010}
Ryan helped me made a little gift for his teacher.
(thanks brooke for the idea).
I didn't realize how hard it would be to make a lower case "t".
Ryan was super excited to give it to his teacher for Christmas so I guess that's all that matters.

Grinch

{November 17, 2010}
 Nat and I went to another play,
"How the Grinch Stole Christmas".
It was darling, especially the costumes.
It really got me into the Christmas spirit.
I have already decorated the house for Christmas too!

Guitar Hero

{December 11, 2010}
Cass came down to spend a week with us.
Tyler is pulling four of her baby teeth in a few days.
I thought it was pretty cute how Ryan was playing his guitar while Cass played guitar hero.

Christmas Program

{December 15, 2010}
Ryan had his Preschool Christmas Program.
He had a little part that he memorized and he sang a ton of songs with his class.
We were actually way impressed at ALL the things he knows.
He also picked his nose through the whole thing.
After the program Tyler asked him why he was picking his nose the whole time and he said "dad, I had a booger".
Well I guess that's a good reason to pick your nose.

Ms. Tiffany is Ryan's teacher, she is fabulous and Ryan LOVES going to school everyday!

We were lucky enough to have dad be able to make it too!

Word World

{December 15, 2010}
There is a darling show on tv called Word World.
Everything on the show is made out of the letters that spell what they are.
Ryan has been watching this show for quite some time now.
Grandma O. gave the boys the Word World Christmas DVD.
On the episode Pig wants a sled for Christmas,
now Ryan wants a sled too.
Pig wrote out the word s l e d and then pushed the letters together and it morphed into a sled.
Ryan got a paper and marker and wrote the letters s l e d and pushed the letters together and nothing happened.
And then he cried and cried because his letters weren't morphing.
We tried to explain that it only works on tv but he was still upset.
Maybe Santa could bring Ryan a sled anyway.

He is learning how to write words
and he can spell a handful of words too.

The Morning

{December 13, 2010}
Some mornings we are SO lazy.
We lay around in our pj's, watch movies and eat poptarts.

Flying

{December 12, 2010}
Ryan was busy "flying" in the back yard.
He was using the broom as his "wings".
When he tripped on the sidewalk and fell over his arms were caught in the broom and he landed right on his face.
I am still not sure how he hit under his chin and his eye.
I am glad that I bought him "real Buzz wings" for Christmas.
Problem solved.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

{December 10, 2010}
Ryan watched "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" over Thanksgiving.
He fell in love with the abominable snowman.
When I saw these pj's I just had to get them
(even though I don't think they are the cutest).
I also like giving the kids their pj's early so they can wear them all month.
 Even though it is kind of a pain to find/wash/pack them for Christmas Eve.
This year was the first year that we put Christmas lights on the house.  We went and bought the lights as a family, and then I surprised Tyler and hung them while he was at school.
(so he didn't have to worry about them)
I only fell off the ladder one time :).
I am glad to still be alive and I don't think I will be doing the lights again.  Unless we invest in an extension ladder.

Ryan was playing with my "Believe" blocks and this is how they stayed for the rest of the month.
